How Is It Done?
Users can recover their forgotten passwords two ways. The first requires that they have previously enrolled in the password reset tool. The user will then have to answer the questions that they set up when they enrolled in it. If the user has not previously enrolled, they will have to contact the I.T. Help Desk and the password will be manually reset. If you just want to change your password see Changing Passwords.
Who Can Do It?
Anyone with a Montana Tech account.
Where Can I Access It?
Enroll in Password Reset Tool
Forgot Password? / Reset Password
Click "Enroll in Password Rest Tool" to enroll. This will require you to currently have access to your passsword.
Click "Forgot Password? / Reset Password" and answer your questions to reset it. You need to have previously enrolled to access this feature.
Contact the IT Help Desk if you need it reset but have not previously enrolled in the tool. The Help Desk will need your Student or Faculty ID # (799...) along with your birthdate to confirm your identity. We will then change it to something temporary that will allow you access and the ability to change it yourself.
