This article explains the syllabus in Canvas, how it works, and how to navigate and use it effectively.
Return to Table of Contents
In the desired course navigate to the "Syllabus" tab.
In the syllabus tab you should be able to see
- The Syllabus Description
- A list of all assignments and quizzes
- Assignment Weights
- These can be edited in the assignments tab.
To edit the about section and the comments click edit.
*Note the syllabus link that comes with the course template is just a time line of all the upcoming quizzes and assignments. To add an actual syllabus edit the description in the rich content editor and add documents or links if needed.*
After your done making changes scroll down and click Update Syllabus.
