What Is It?

Users can Request a Service for a number of technical issues relating to Montana Tech Hardware/Software/Services etc.

All services are organized in the Service Catalog to better assist users in finding the necessary service request

Who Can Use It?

Montana Tech Students and Faculty

Where Can I Access It?

Service can be requested from the Services tab 

Sign Into Your Montana Tech Account

Before submitting a Request for Service, please make sure you have signed into your Montana Tech account

Sign into your Montana Tech account first

Locate Services Tab

From https://kb.mtech.edu, locate the Services tab from the navigation bar at the top of the window

Click the Services tab located in the navigation bar

 

Browse The Service Catalog

Locate the Service/Service Category you need assistance with

Select A Service/Service Category

Select a Service category

For this example we are using the Accounts, Passwords & Access Requests category

 

View services in category

From this category, the immediate services are First Time User Credentials Lookup and Reset/Remove/Add MFA Authentication Contact Info

Password Assistance and Accounts are additional categories that have their own service requests.

 

Select a Service Request

For this example we are using the Reset/Remove/Add MFA Authentication Contact Info service request

 

Request Service

Click Request Service to be brought to the page where you fill in the information relating to your service request.

Click request service to be sent to the page to fill in the information for your request

 

Fill In The Required Information

Note: Not all information is required, however, the more information you provide, the more the Help desk Staff can help you.

 

Submit Request

Submit service request

After filling out the information on the service request, scroll down until you find the Captcha and the Submit button. 

Click Submit after you have confirmed the Captcha is checked and all the service information is correct.

 

What's Next?

After submitting a request for service, the Help desk staff will be able to view your request and begin looking into the issue.
