Authentication Failed in Banner

Summary

An update in Chrome may cause authentication issues or cause images to not load.

Body

What is it?

For Faculty, you may have issues accessing Banner or Etrieve and this may resolve the issue.

For Students, your MyMtech dashboard may not load images and this may resolve the issue.

Explanation:

As of Chrome 142, Local Network Access has been restricted by default. For Students and Faculty, this means that you will get a pop-up asking whether or not you would like to allow Ellucian Cloud to discover devices on your Local Network. It can cause images to not load but in the worst case, it may restrict access to Etrieve or Banner. This article will help users alleviate any issues associated with this change.
