A CRN stands for Course Reference Number. It is five-digits long and is assigned to each section of a course.

For example:

  • Fall: 70000 (Starts with a 7 is Fall)
  • Spring: 30000 (Starts with a 3 is Spring)
  • Summer: 50000 (Starts with a 5 is Summer)

You can find the CRN's listed next to your course names in MyMTech or Moodle.

Who Can Use It?

Anyone using Moodle courses.

How Can I Use It?

You can use CRNs to identify courses. For example, if you wanted to receive help from the I.T. Help Desk on an issue with a Moodle course, please provide the CRN.
