What Is It?

Canvas is an Online Learning Management System that enhances the traditional classroom experience by bringing it into the digital realm. This dynamic platform offers instructors the ability to tailor and design their courses to align with their unique teaching methodologies. Canvas includes an extensive array of features such as online assignment submissions, real-time discussions, multimedia resource sharing, comprehensive progress tracking, and seamless mobile accessibility, among others.

Who Can Use It?

Montana Tech students, faculty, and staff who are enrolled in a course.

How Can I Access Canvas?

Step 1:

In your web browser, navigate to Montana Tech's homepage using the following link: mtech.edu


Step 2:

Select "MyMTech" located on the top right part of the page as outlined in the figure below.

Step 3:

Enter your username and password and then select "SIGN IN."

  • Note: Links to help with passwords are on the Web Sign-on page. You can also access these links by selecting one of the following:

Step 4:

Once you have successfully signed in, select one of your courses under the "Learning" tab.

Step 5:

You will now be redirected to Canvas. From here, you can make a selection from the "courses" tab.

Step 6: 

Explore your course to learn more about Canvas. If any additional information is needed, navigate to:
