How Can I Request an Instructional Designer?

After the FERPA training has been completed with a perfect score. Please provide the Instructional Designer's full name and course CRNs.

Once the Help Desk is able to verify that the Instructional Designer has passed, they will be added to the course as a 'Instructional Designer'.

What Is It?

Instructional Designers are staff assigned to a Canvas course with the Role of 'Instructional Designer.'

Who Can Be an Instructional Designer?

  • For a staff member to be added to a course as an Instructional Designer, they must first complete the FERPA training course.

  • To be added to the FERPA training course, the employee's supervisor or department must submit a request to Human Resources or the Help Desk to have the employee added to the training.

  • All Instructional Designers must pass the FERPA training course with a 100%.

How Can I Request an Instructional Designer
