Printing from Papercut

What Is It?

Montana Tech's printers operate through a software called Papercut, and charge per page printed.

Who Can Use It?

Anyone with a Montana Tech account.

Where Can I Access It?

Please review the two options below to learn how to print using Papercut:

Option 1: Print to a printer located in the lab you are using. Choose the printer located in the lab from the printers list:

Click “Print,” and wait for the PaperCut Print Job Notification dialogue box to appear. This dialogue box shows which document will be printed, what printer it will be print to, and how much the print job will cost. Select “Print” to print the document or “Cancel” to cancel the print job:

Option 2: Printing to the "Follow_Me_Print" queue. A print job sent to the "Follow_Me_Print" queue can only be released at the three MFP copiers (2 in the Library and 1 at Highlands ACE) located on the Montana Tech and Highlands College campuses. Choose the "Follow_Me_Print" printer from the printers list. Click "Print", and wait for the PaperCut Print Job Notification dialogue box to appear. This dialogue box shows which document will be printed, what printer it will be printed to, and how much the print job will cost. Select "Print" to print the document or "Cancel" to cancel the print job:

The print job will hold in the "Follow_Me_Print" queue until you release it at one of the three MFP copiers (2 in the Library and 1 at Highlands). You can verify the print job is pending release by logging into http://papercut:9191:user and selecting the "Jobs Pending Release" tab:
