Returning students may have received a new account. Use the link above to check your username and password.

You can no longer change your password from your email account.

Accounts will be created nightly for admitted individuals where the application has not been withdrawn, whose status is not inactive or inactive due to graduation, and who have been admitted to this semester or a future semester. This includes people admitted as one of the following student types:

Graduate Student, Continuing Education, Returning, Continuing, First Time, Quick Admit, Transfer, Registered, or individuals with Financial Aid for this academic year.

Account creation takes 24 hours, If you register at 8 am, you will have access to your account the next day at 8 am.

If your username and password aren't working on your personal computer try using your full email (username@mtech.edu) as your username.

If you are an alumnus, please use the Employee login as your account hasn't been moved to Office 365 yet.

Try logging onto your email account.
To log into your email through Montana Tech's main website:
Step 1: Go to www.mtech.edu and click on the "Email" option:
Step 2: You will be brought to a sign-in page through Microsoft Outlook. Sign in with your email address with your first initial and last name (there may be a number following your username) with the extension @mtech.edu. This is what it should look like before clicking next (but with your own credentials):
Step 3: You will then be brought to Montana Tech's sign-in page. This is where you will enter your password. If you need assistance with finding/resetting your password that can be found here:

Step 4: Once you successfully enter your password you will be in Outlook where you can view and send emails.
Logging into your email on your mobile device:
Logging into your email on your mobile phone through the browser is the same process as above. If you would like to download Microsoft Outlook onto your device go ahead and download the Microsoft Office app (through the Google Play Store on Android or the App Store on Apple) and follow the steps prompted by the app. The process is very similar if not the same.
