What Is It?

Discussions allow students to post and discuss about topics in the course.

Who Can Use It?

Where Can I Access It?

 

Step 1) Navigate to the “Modules” tab within a course

Select modules tab

Step 2) Scroll though the modules to find a discussion

Find discussion

 

Step 3) Open the discussion to view the header and replies

Open discussion

 

Step 4) Click “Reply” and type out your sentence. When finished, click “Reply” again to post your message

Use rich content editor to reply to discussion

 

After clicking “Reply” the second time, your message will be posted below the message you are replying to.

Confirm your reply was posted

 

Discussion Tab

If your Instructor has the Discussions tab visible, you will see it on the left hand navigation bar

The navigation bar on the left side of the screen with "discussions" highlighted

 

From this window you can view any Pinned, Open, or Closed discussions all in one place,

This makes managing a large number of discussions easier than searching through the modules tab
