How to use it.
Turnitin is a helpful tool that lets instructors check for originality in assignments. Students can receive originality scores, feedback, grades, and peer reviews from Turnitin, depending on what the instructor wants to do.
Step 1:
Locate the assignments tab from Course navigation
Select the kebab at the top right corner of the page and add turnitin
Step 2:
The Title, Instructions, Max Grade, Start Date, Due Date, and Feedback Release Date should all be filed before submitting the turnitin assignment.
Optional Settings
In optional settings You can access Submission Settings, Similarity Reports. Comparisons, Exclusions, and more.
In Optional Settings you can access
-The drop down, this can allow a location for submission
You can also personalize the submission by applying desired check-boxes
- Similarity Report Drop Down
This allows for teachers to find matches for similar text in submissions, check desired boxes for standards
- Compare Against
“Compare against” and “Report similarity” go hand in hand by selecting “Compare against” turnitin will compare the submitted assignment to a database against material which derives from general information publications as well as from scientific magazines and more.
Check all boxes you want to apply on the comparison
- Exclude Assignment Template
You can Upload a Template, or create a Custom Template to turnitin assignment
Note: Once a submission has been made to the assignment, templates can no longer be added or edited.
