Converting Videos to MP4s Using VLC

What Is It?

The VLC media player is a free and open-source, portable, cross-platform media player and streaming media server. It can be used to convert videos to MP4s.

Who Can Use It?

Anyone who has downloaded VLC.

How Can I Use It?

First, open VLC and click on "Media" in the top left corner.

Next, click on "Convert/Save...".

After a new window pops up, click on the "Add" button. After that, you will select the file you want to convert.

Then, click on "Convert/Save" and there will be a drop-down menu. Click on "Convert".

Again, a new window will pop up and close the previous. On this new window, click on the drop-down menu next to "Profile" and select the top option.

Lastly, click on the destination file and save it to where you want it. Click start and it should act like it is playing a video, but it will look like the screen like below.
