Saving Text of Email Headers (Outlook on the Desktop)

What Is It?

Email headers contain useful information that IT can use to identify bad actors that send phishing emails.
 

Who Can Use It?

Anyone with an Outlook account.
 

Where Can I Access It?

Classic Outlook on the Desktop:

Step 1.

Double click the email to open in a separate window.
 

Step 2.

Once the email is open, click File > Properties.

Step 3.

Once the Properties window is open, the header will be viewable.

Step 4.

Finally, highlight the text in the "Internet Headers" field, then copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V).
